Who We Are

In the Beginning

The Castle Pines Village Garden Club was established in 1994 by an enthusiastic group of women dedicated to beautifying our community and providing charitable service to the community. A Board of several members oversees the Clubs programs, events, and civic activities.

Objective

Our charter states “The object of the Club is to operate for charitable, scientific and educational purposes conducive to the well-being of the community and useful to the public including the purpose of encouraging an interest in all phases of home gardening, plant care and floral design, educating its members in the science and arts of horticulture and performing education and charitable horticultural service to the community. The Club is a non-profit organization.”

Expanded Goals

We endeavor to provide programs that enhance our ‘Home, Health and Garden’ in a relaxed atmosphere that promotes socializing and making new friends.

Programs

We meet the first Friday of the month, September through May unless otherwise noted in the calendar. Topics include gardening, floral design, cooking, art, photography, healthy lifestyles and diet. We invite speakers and authors, some of whom are nationally acclaimed or writers for major publications. Field trips to private and public Colorado gardens are offered periodically throughout the year.
